How does this learning experience help the learner flourish?
We ask this question about every program, lesson, and assignment. At Tallawah Academy, education is not the passive accumulation of information — learning is an active process of questioning, exploration, dialogue, reflection, and creation.
Tallawah Research & Writing Academy serves homeschool students in grades 7–12 throughout Montana and neighboring regions, with online programs available nationwide.
Small but Mighty
"Tallawah" — a word rooted in Jamaican culture — means "small but mighty." It reminds us that every learner holds extraordinary potential, regardless of age, background, learning style, or circumstance.

These stages are not grade levels, labels, or a ranking system. Students may demonstrate different stages in different areas of learning — the purpose is continued growth.
